Askham Hall/ Queen’s Head Askham terms and conditions for room bookings except groups:
- Check in time is from 3pm for Askham Hall and 4pm for the Queen’s Head. Check out for both is by 11am.
- Prices are based on two people sharing a room (twin or double).
- For single occupancy a reduction in cost of £12.50 per night (one breakfast) is applicable.
- Extra bed(s) are available in certain rooms for £35 each including breakfast.
- Dogs are permitted (up to 3 per room) at a cost of £15 per stay for one dog or £25 per stay for two or more dogs. Please
note that dogs are permitted in the reception areas, bedrooms and Queen’s Head bar and restaurant but not Allium at
Askham Hall restaurant. They are also permitted supervised in Askham Hall gardens, excluding the edible gardens, however guests are required to pick up any dog waste and dispose of it in the bins provide. Any damage caused by dogs will be charged as extra. Other types of animals are not permitted unless authorised by us. - Room rates are subject to change for certain special event nights.
- In order to secure your reservation a deposit of 35% per room booking is required. This is refundable in the event that you cancel your
reservation by 3pm 2 days prior to the date of arrival. In the case of a late cancellation or no show, the full room price will be charged for the length of your stay.
Cancellation policy for group bookings (5 rooms or more):
A deposit of 50% per booking is required to secure your reservation. Full payment must be received one month prior to arrival.
The deposit will be forfeited in the event of cancellation less than two calendar months prior to arrival, unless we re-let the
room/s.The full balance will be forfeited in the event of cancellation less than one month prior to arrival.

- High season: Easter holidays or 1 April (whichever is first) to 31 October; 24 December to 1 January (applies to Queen’s
Head only). - Low season: January 2 to the Easter holidays or 1 April; 1 November to 24 December (applies to Queen’s Head only).
- Mid-week: Mondays to Thursdays inclusive. Weekend: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.
‘Allium at Askham Hall’ restaurant terms and conditions:
We offer a six course tasting menu for £125 per person, with optional paired wines for £220. Credit card details are required to
secure your restaurant booking. This applies to both residents and non residents. Payment is not taken at the time of booking,
however in the event of a cancellation or not show a payment will be deducted from your card as follows: 50% charge for a
cancellation within 48 hours, 100% for a cancellation within 24 hours or a no show. For cancellations made more than 48 hours
prior to your reservation then no charge applies. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the restaurant.
‘Allium at Askham Hall’ restaurant terms and conditions:
- We require that you book a minimum of 15 bedrooms for two nights, this includes complimentary use of either the Front
Hall and Lawn or the Medieval Hall and Orchard for your drinks reception. - You must have decided how many bedrooms you require no later than 6 months prior to your wedding. The wedding
couple are responsible for allocating all the bedrooms. - Check in at the Hall is from 3pm. Check out is by 11am.
- These rates do not include the option of guests checking out and different guests checking in requiring bedding to be
changed with the exception of wedding couple, if any room requires a change over, this will incur a charge of £35. The
couple are responsible for allocating these rooms also. - With the minimum 15 bedrooms booked for two nights, dining on the night before your wedding is required, and is private
to your party. Suggested menus are available. Minimum numbers of 20 in the restaurant or 30 in the Medieval Hall are
required. - Corkage in the main hall and ‘bring your own’ alcohol is not permitted.
- The restaurant is normally open to non-residents Tuesday-Saturday. For whatever reason, if you do not wish for the
restaurant to be open as normal on the night of your wedding when your party will be in the Barn and would rather
absolute exclusive use of the whole site, there is a charge of £4,000 to have the restaurant kept closed. - Mid-week accommodation rates for 15 bedrooms for 2 nights, breakfast included start from £5784.60.
- Weekend accommodation rates for 15 bedrooms for 2 nights, breakfast included start from £6937.80.

- During peak times a two night minimum stay policy may apply on weekends.
- Standard rooms and the superior plus room are affected slightly by noise from fans during operational hours only.
- Dog are permitted at a cost of £15 per stay for one dog or £25 per stay for two or more dogs (with a maximum of 3 dogs
per room). Dog are permitted in the bedrooms and bar but not the restaurant. Any damage caused by dogs will be charged
as extra. Other types of animals are not permitted unless authorised by us. - In order to secure your reservation a deposit of 35% per room booking is required. authorised by us. - Rates are subject to change by the management.
- During peak times a two night minimum stay policy may apply on weekends.
- We accept all debit and credit cards including Amex.
- We will confirm your room category at the time of booking however the actual room can’t be guaranteed.
- We recommend travel insurance to cover your booking in the event of cancellation.
- Champagne and flowers: These items are payable at the time of booking and are non refundable in the event of a
cancellation less than 48 hours prior to arrival or no show. Full payment will be deducted from your card details used for
your room booking, after your booking has been processed. - In the event of any damage to our property caused by you or a member of your party including any animals that you have
with you, we reserve the right to charge for these after your stay. - In the event of loss or damage to a guest’s property for which we are liable, this liability is limited to £50 for any one article
and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody. It does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or any live animals. A full schedule noticed titled ‘Loss or Damage to Guests’ Property’ can be found on public display in each of our three properties. - If you require a taxi during your stay we would strongly recommend that you arrange this in advance, as due to our rural
